What is an Air Gauge?

Air gauges employ pneumatic pressure and flow to measure and organize dimensional qualities. They display this information using the metric system. Air Gauges are able to provide precision accuracy at high speeds, which make them suitable for high-volume production environments. Several types of air gauges and systems are used to measure critical dimensions: there are functional gauges such as air plugs and air rings, and there are also large gauging systems that come as bench top or floor mounted applications. Air probes are used alongside other gauges and can be connected to stand alone displays.

Air Gauges work by using changes in pressure or flow rates to measure critical dimensions and other attributes. Some air gauges are available in the portable or hand-held variety.
